Another great weekend with excellent playing from all! The band showed just how versatile we can be with our choral version of ‘It’s a long way to Tipparary’ in the march ’1914′, Sing as We Go and Dads Army. It was a very busy weekend with the Youth Band doing 8 spots on both days 4 at Kidderminster Station, 2 at Bridgenorth and 2 at Arley.

Over the weekend of the 25th and 26th June, Middleton Youth Band headed down to Kidderminster for the Severn Valley Railway’s 1940s event, this year under the direction of new MD – Pam Smith.
On both days the Youth Band started their day on Kidderminster Station, pleasing the crowds. The Youth Band then headed up to Bridgnorth to perform another concert in between the brilliant Mr Paul Harper and lovely Miss Lola Lamour.

Middleton Band are seeking talented percussionists to join their ranks!
Due to the retirement of our former percussionist, we find ourselves with a full section of kit and tuned percussion and no one to play any of it!
Could you be one of our new tuned and/or kit percussionists?
