We are delighted to announce the appointment of Les Webb as our new MD.
Les has been selected by the band from a strong field of experienced and talented applicants and will be making his debut at our concert with the Houghton Weavers on Saturday 27th May at St Michael’s Church in Middleton closely followed by our VE day concert at the East Lancashire Railway on Monday 29th May.
Les brings a wealth of playing and conducting experience with him to the band. His playing highlights include playing for Yorkshire Imps and the Fairey band and his conducting highlights include success with Eccles Borough, The Marple band and Glossop band.
We are really pleased to welcome Les to the band and are looking forward to a successful partnership.
