Middleton Band were formed in 1876 and 2016 is the 140th Anniversary. To build up to this great occasion the band are trying something different in 2015 to promote the band, this being the first event.
On Saturday 16th May 2015 we will performing with the Houghton Weavers at Middleton Arena. The evening will feature performances from Middleton Band, the Middleton Youth Band and the Houghton Weavers ending the evening with a mass performance.
Houghton Weavers Feature Concert May 2015
Formed in 1975, The Houghton Weavers made their television debut in the BBC’s talent show “We’ll Call You”. So successful were they that, within a couple of months they were given their own show “Sit Thi Deawn” which continued for six series over seven years and had the highest viewing figures for any regional T.V. programme. The Houghton Weavers guarantee a wonderful evening of song and humour. Their experience in the business together with their style and professionalism ensures that, as their motto says, they will always “KEEP FOLK SMILING”
