The band once again took part in the annual Whit Friday band contests. The weather was cold damp and windy but this did not spoil a fantastic and successful evening!
The main band was supported by 7 young members of the youth band who were exemplary musicians all night, great playing, spot on deportment and a real credit to us.
The band competed in Tameside this year at 9 contests with 2 fantastic results so far, best 3rd overall and 2nd section at Hurst Cross and the best local band prize at Broadoak.
The band thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Whit Friday contests and it was a chance to really bond as a team as well as a fantastic opportunity for our youth band to gain experience alongside the main band.
