Beer Walk for Macmillan Cancer Support!

On Saturday the 18th June, a team of walkers from the band once again donned fancy dress and undertook the Saddleworth beer walk 10 mile route through the villages and over the hills and dales of Saddleworth, in order to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer support.

Macmillan Cancer Support is an organisation close to several of the band members hearts. Macmillan Nurses do such fantastic work with cancer sufferers and their families. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care – free of charge. As of June 2010, there were 3,452 Macmillan nurses across the UK, working both in hospitals and in the community. One in three of us will get cancer.Two million of us are living with it. We are all affected by cancer. We can all help.

Thank you to those who helped us raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. So far we have raised £110.
