Middleton Band were delighted to take the opportunity to sponsor the Middleton v Crompton match today at Middleton Cricket Club.
What a glorious day too, with excellent weather and a superb turn out to watch Middleton victoriously romp home!
The band received VIP treatment from the club too, who laid on a lovely buffet for us and looked after us very well indeed.
Middleton Band have enjoyed a long and mutually supportive association with Middleton Cricket club: Once upon a time, the club hosted the band’s rehearsal room in the pavilion and in more recent times the club regularly invites the band to perform Christmas concerts and St Georges night concerts. The club is also a fabulous venue for some of our fundraising events such as wine tasting evenings and band socials. The club still often generously allow is to rehearse in the function room when needed.
We have had a really fantastic day, big thanks to the Cricket club and the team!
