Aaron Hayes
Aaron first started playing when he started senior school at the age of 11. He claims to have been tricked into attending a meeting in the music room which led to him being sat in a chair and given a bass. He remembers being told to ‘blow into that and make a noise’.
After a few months of dragging a Bb Bass around school Aaron moved onto the Baritone.
In 2002 Aaron joined Besses Boys Band’s training band and in 2003 he was invited to play with the main band. After a short stint sat on 2nd Baritone Aaron progressed into the solo seat where he stayed until 2007 when he joined The Middleton Band.
The highlight of Aaron’s banding career was winning the 3rd section national finals.
