Middleton Band

Pam joined the band in September 2004 and took over the principal seat. She has got over 26 years brass banding experience (apparently she started playing whilst still in a pram....) and was a long-term member of Blackley Band.

Pam has had a couple of stints at Moston and Beswick and was a member of Greenfield Band for a little while a few years ago.

Pam has helped out loads of other bands, including Eagley, Failsworth, Marple, Boarshurst, and Glossop amongst others.

The highlight of her career so far was when she depped at Sellers for a couple of rehearsals and a concert.

She absolutely loves playing the "Floral Dance" and "Rusalka's Song To The Moon", and would not thank any conductor who plays "Eye Level" or who suggests "Knight Templar" for Whit Friday......again.

Lucy is a cracking cornet player who is currently away at University.

She has been playing for 10 years, starting with the Queen Elizabeth School Band, and has been in the senior band for just over 12 months.

Lucy says that the highlight of those 8 years was when she played with the Youth Band at Euro Disney last year.

She also says she is looking forward to a return visit this year (hint, hint)!!

Lucy loves playing "Cute", which shows off the band's natural swing ability and Mr Cwarney's Animal impression.

However, Lucy says she hates playing "The Lost Chord".....so THAT's why it's missing from the pads eh Luce?!?
